Before I accepted Christ as my savior, I lived a foolish life, with beliefs that tickled my fancy! There was no glory to God, though I thought I was trying to be near to him. I believed that any religon was good, was right, that it was the effort. I did not know that the bible so clearly painted the picture of salvation.
My now husband, shared with me a pamphlet, and I read it. Right there was scripture saying how I was WRONG! Whoa. My head spinned, I felt anxious, and a bit frightened. All these years, I was not in the right, infact I wasn't even heading to Heaven. I fought it, it can't be true, there can't be only one way to Heaven... but after horrible feelings in my gut, fighting with all my might, I succumbed to the will of God, I accepted his gift of Christ, and tears flowed down my cheeks, while my heart was lifted. Burdens from a wild, self aborsbed teenage years lifted, it was a miraculous feeling, that I still remember so clearly. I am saved!
Since that time, I have gone to have 3 children that I try to raise in Gods word, for His glory, through example. Let me tell you, I fail. I make progress, but it's easy to slide. I am not perfect, hence my need for Christ. On my own I am not strong, I am weak and in the scheme of things, miniscule. But with God, He lends me strength, He lifts me up when I have fallen, and He uses me to bring him Glory, and to share His gospel. I am loved and loved greatly!
I have felt God in my life, have seen my prayers answered, and lives touched. If you do not have this relationship, I would urge you to look further, in your heart, in the scripture. The Book of Romans is a great place to start.
